Horizons No. 67 Original Painting

Horizons is a series which explores imagined, fantastical scenes. In this body of work, I challenge reality, using art as a means of escape from everyday life. Horizons is one of my longest-running series to date, and it continues to evolve with each new piece.

I carefully hand stretch my own unprimed canvases to ensure they will not buckle or wrinkle in the frame. I also choose a higher grade canvas than the pre-stretched store bought ones. I then prime or gesso and lightly sand them; this is a process I repeat three times.

This is a rectangular mid-size (30 x 36 inches) oil painting on a stretched canvas. Canvas is stretched on wooden strips and is ready for framing or to be displayed as is. This painting is signed ‘cherres’ in front and back.
