Horizons No. 37 Original Painting

Horizons No. 37 is an original semi-abstract oil painting on canvas. It is a square mid/large size landscape of a blue palette balanced with ochres and subtle grays freshly layered in an ‘alla prima’ style, meaning painted and finished while the painting is wet.

Horizons is a series which explores imagined, fantastical scenes. In this body of works, I challenge reality, using art as a means of escape from everyday life. Horizons is one of my longest-running series to date, and it continues to evolve with each new piece.

Canvas is stretched on wooden strips and is ready for framing or to be displayed as is. This painting is signed ‘cherres’ in the front.
