Cherres explores the need for people to believe in a certain god or goddess, the passion, the anxiety, consequences and the blinding worship. He portrays people based on his own youthful experience with religion. Although a controversial subject, his intention is rather light.
The dominant colors are browns, greens and grays. This is an almost square mid-size (24 x 22 inches) contemporary one of a kind oil painting on a stretched canvas. Canvas is hand primed and stretched on wooden strips by me and is ready for framing or to be displayed as is (it comes with hanging hardware.) This painting is signed ‘cherres’ in the front.
Prints are made on a thick, archival-grade canvas to ensure durability. They are pH neutral and acid-free, so it will not yellow over time. Our solid 1.50″ thick wood stretcher bars ensure that the canvas print does not warp or bow over time. Optional frame is an elegant high-quality wood floating-style in 3 finishes: Black, Oak and White.
Originals are primed, stretched and painted in oils by me.
Both prints and originals come ready to hang.
