This is a large statement original figurative oil painting on a stretched canvas. Stretched on heavy wooden strips and ready for framing or to be displayed as is (hanging hardware installed.) This painting is signed ‘cherres’ in the front.

Cherres explores the need for people to believe in a certain god or goddess, the passion, the anxiety, consequences and the blinding worship. He portrays people based on his own youthful experience with religion. Although a controversial subject, his intention is rather light.
Original paintings: I carefully hand stretch my own unprimed canvases to ensure they will not buckle or wrinkle in the frame. I also choose a higher grade canvas than the pre-stretched store bought ones. I then prime or gesso and lightly sand them; this is a process I repeat three times.
