I am a contemporary figurative artist based in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
I express myself with no objections constantly seeking new challenges, a never ending quest taking me to explore new ways to say what has already been said.
My work represents events in people’s lives, including mine. I found over the years that painting from imagination is the best way for me to express what I want to say. I feel an incredible freedom with no limitations. I like to work on series, once I found a theme, I explore it as much as I can until I know is time to continue with another one. Many times while working on a specific series something triggers and so another one is born.
It is important for me to translate my ideas in a way that anybody can understand. I aim for a universal language, a natural and humanistic approach that people can relate to it.
To summarize it in a few words, I practically make everything from scratch. I have more control of what materials and tools I am using this way, not to mention the satisfaction and endless possibilities I have while working this way. Another positive aspect is the fact that I understand more closely the materials I am using and how they behave, I could take different directions while experimenting often.
